Dr. Julie van Schalkwyk interim Chief Medical Officer, BC Children’s Hospital, Sunny Hill & BC Women’s Hospital

Dr. Julie van Schalkwyk will take on the role of interim Chief Medical Officer (CMO) for BC Children’s Hospital, Sunny Hill Health Centre for Children and BC Women’s Hospital + Health Centre, with accountability to Susan Wannamaker as Executive Vice President. The new role of CMO will replace the two Vice-Presidents, the medical affairs positions for both Children’s hospital and Women’s hospital. Dr. van Schalkwyk, current interim vice president of Medical Affairs for BC Women’s Hospital + Health Centre, will begin her new role effective July 1.
