On Friday, February 9th 2024, Dr. Deborah Money was featured as a speaker at the “Building Bridges: Connecting Foundational Science and Clinical Practice in Precision Health and Translational Medicine” event, which was co-hosted by the UBC Faculty of Medicine – Precision Health, UBC Life Sciences Institute, and the UBC Faculty of Medicine – Academy of Translational Medicine. The collaborative event included presentations, a Q&A panel, as well as a networking event, and was held to both encourage and provide helpful information on developing successful research collaborations between clinicians and foundational scientists. Dr. Money was joined by Dr. Alexander Wyatt as the second presenter, who is an associate professor with the Department of Urologic Sciences at UBC as well as a Senior Research Scientist at the Vancouver Prostate Centre and BC Cancer. The event was held at the Life Sciences Institute on the UBC Vancouver Campus and was a wonderous success, with the presentations and discussions that were fostered being very engaging for the attendees.
